Stoke City have rejected swap demands from Wets Ham for striker Carlton Cole.
The Sunday Mirror says Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has hit problems trying to secure Stoke’s Glenn Whelan in the deal that will see Cole join Stoke.
But Stoke boss Tony Pulis rejected the offer and has secured straight cash for Cole.
Personal terms are now being discussed between the two parties.
