Stoke Make Move For White Hart Lane Veteran

Stoke City are in talks with England international player, Johnathan Woodgate. This contract at Tottenham expired last month and he refused to sign a pay-as-you-play contract. He out on free agent now and he will be meeting with Tony Pulis this week to discuss his personal terms. The only other team to be offering him a contract are Championship side, Leeds, who would love to take him back to where he started his career but Stoke offer him a Premier League football and more money.

Woodgate has been suffering a career long injury and has only played four games in the last two years at White Heart. It is a gamble for Pulis as he looks to add some more quality into his squad this year.
