Pulis Wants More Signings Fast

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is stepping up his search for new signings and hopes to make at least one addition in the next few days.
Pulis has cash to spend and is targeting quality over quantity but he has only managed to land Jonathan Woodgate on a free transfer from Tottenham.

Carlton Cole, Cameron Jerome, Wilson Palacios and Scott Dann remain targets and Pulis is keen to get bodies on board as soon as possible after he was forced to use defender Ryan Shotton as an emergency striker against Hajduk split last night.

"We are threadbare at the moment," said Pulis in the Stoke Sentinel. "Having to bring Ryan Shotton on and play him up front showed we have to bring reinforcements in, and the club is doing its best to achieve that.

"Fingers crossed we can bring one or two players in over the next few days."

Pulis hopes to have the players on board before next week's return leg in Croatia, where the Potters will be defending a 1-0 lead following Jon Walters' winning goal last night.

  1. Come on Tone get some decent midfielders in and a couple of fast and prolific goalscorers, no more lumps in front of goal!
Would love to see a couple of midfielders that can put their foot on the ball and pick out a pass. Also a recognised left back would be a good addition too!
