'Stoke no longer a selling club'

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has dismissed talk that his side's good form could lead to their players being targeted in the January transfer window.

Pulis insists there is no need for him to consider selling players as the Potters can consider themselves an up and coming club.

When quizzed about potential interest in goalkeeper Begovic, he continued: "He attracted bids last year, but we've been through that.

"We, as a club, think we're moving forwards, it's a good club for people to be at - you've seen the players we've brought in and we're not a football club that has to sell players.

"We don't have to sell players - that's fact, so we're hoping that Asmir, Shawcross and players like that - we've got some exceptionally good young footballers at this club - we're hoping they see it that way too, that they can realise their ambitions here and enjoy their football, which I'm sure they do."
