Huth Eager To Get Off To A Good Start

ROBERT HUTH says that Stoke City are desperate to kick off the new campaign in style against Chelsea this Sunday . . . and send a signal of intent out to the rest of the Barclays Premier League.
The Club's 2010-11 Player of the Year believes victory over Andre Villas-Boas' side would be proof of the side's ambitions for the season, but acknowledges the task in front of them is a mammoth one.
"But we are a decent team too and we are full of confidence coming into the game. It's important for us to get the season up and running with a win if we can.
"It will be incredibly tough, we know that," he revealed to Potters Matchday Magazine in the build-up to the live televised clash. "They are a fantastic side, with world class players.
"It's vital to get points on the board as early as you can because we don't want to be playing catch up like we were at the start of last season."
He added: "There is pressure at the start of the season because everybody wants to get off to a winning start. Hopefully, if we can give that extra five or ten per cent than we did against them last year, then we have a chance."
To read the full interview with the former Chelsea defender, make sure you pick up your copy of Potters Matchday Magazine prior to the game on Sunday.
Priced at just £3.00, the new look 84-page publication is packed full of exclusive interviews, features and competitions.
As well as sitting down with the German international, we also spoke to Ryan Shawcross, Tony Pulis, Tony Scholes, Rory Delap, Mickey Thomas, Nigel Johnson, whilst talkSPORT's Andy Jacobs gives us an insight into what we can expect from Chelsea.
